Enterprise Architecture is basically the description of the behavior of an organizational process at its current status and forecasting its future structure. It also describes the information system, personal and organizational units, with the organizations basic goals and the direction of the organization. It is mostly associated with the IT industry but it can also be related to business optimization because of its features like architecture, management of performance, organizational structure and the architectural process.

The Enterprise Architecture consists of developing an architectural design, to define and describe the series of current developments and the targets and implementing them to align change within the organization. The skeleton design of the Enterprise Architecture is also regarded with business, application technology and the data. This design completely describes the pro and cons that easily identify what a business is performing and provides detailed information on the how the processes are executed. The results describe in very fine detail of how a business operates and the variety and amount of resources required for the smooth running of the organization. It can also represent the information in a graphic form.

Using this end result and the level of detail, the decision makers can proceed to make the important decisions with a considerable ease. It will also help them by suggesting about where to invest the available resources, where to revise the organizational goals and which policies and processes will be able to support the smooth operation of an organization.

The implementation of an Enterprise Architecture on a value based approach is always recommended in order to realize the goals of the organization rather quickly. The key questions are then analyzed and the lead obtained from it can be used to support the quick achievement of goals and a person with the best organization qualities should lead a team to analyze the procedures. Teams which spend too much time on documentation of each and every report and plan provide real value to the decision makers may be disbanded.
