While observing the plants in your garden if you see that your plants have been ragged, chewed or has missed leaves, there are holes in stems or branches then you have to put forward the necessary steps to save the plants from pests. Pests generally damage, weaken the plants as well as reduce the yield and more over they kill the beautiful plants in the garden. Hence it is dangerous to live them unattended.

To keep the pests under control one should follow the given steps

* To control the pest use certified seed only.

* The crop you are purchasing and organic soil amendments should be free from wild seed and pathogen.

* Search for the list of pest resistant plant in the area where you leave.

* While moving the plants from another garden to your garden check for pests.

* Weekly check root of plants for symptoms of root knot nematodes.

* If you think that the soil which you wants to move in your garden is infected by nematodes, stems of Bermuda grass or nut sledge tubers then don't replace your original soil.

* To destroy the wild residues around the garden prefer composting. Along with this it controls the pest that may be port in the residue. If this composting did in correct manner it will control all insect pests.

* While growing examine plants through out at least two times in a week.

* Checking and removing the wild plants in and near the garden in a week is the best pest control. This should do while new plantation. Wild plants are the factory of insect pests.

* Place the plants in right location as plant under stressed condition will be easy to attack by pests.

* To keep check on the harmful pests harvest number of flower plants, shrubs and trees so that birds will often visit the garden and will keep check.

* To control whiteflies around the tomatoes, aphids, leafhoppers, leaf miners and wasp use yellow sticky traps.

If anybody wants to keep the garden healthy they must use pest control. Well scheduling of water and level of nutrients and proper fertilization creates healthy plants. Those are well resisted to pests. Along with this observe plant twice in a week and keep them aside from the pests.
