House Plants

Generally peoples like to maintain the garden but peoples who don't have gardens they can go for house planting. They can grow different types of plants indoor. They generally grown in the clay containers inside the home and hence those plants are called as the house plants.

As one take care of there garden one have to look after there house plant and keep them nourished. House plants are generally grown to improve the decoration of home. Along with this they keep healthy and pure air in the room, so helpful for health.

When planted we need to observe the plants and should look for moisture, light, soil, temperature, humidity, fertilizers and pest controls.

* Moisturizer: Less water and more water is dangerous for the plants. Hence to check the water level one has to check for the moisture level. Besides this soil must be dry in between two watering to maintain the moisture.

* Light: As plants converts light energy in to the chemical energy, intensity and the duration of the light must be in proper manner. So keep plants near the window and they will get appropriate sun light. If there is less sun light you can make use of any artificial light.

* Soil: House plant soil is different because it is enrich of the conditioners this soil is called as potting soil or potting compost. Soil provides nutrients, support, adequate drainage, and proper ventilation for the plants.

* Temperature: The general temperature requirement for the house plant is around 15degrees to 25 degrees which is the normal room temperature.

* Humidity: Plants requires more humidity. In the home humidity is around 20% to 60% but the plants needs humidity around 80%. Hence to increase the humidity make use of pebble trays.

* Fertilizers: to improve the growth of the plants and for nutrients purpose fertilizers are added to the soil. But this should be in the proper manner as excess use of fertilizers is dangerous.

* Pot types and sizes: Pots which you are going to use must be in the proper size if they are too big than requirement the excess moisture will affect the plant. Or small size will restrict the root growth.
