Bad weather can show the effects such as March wind. This wind will dry out the transplants. Similarly April rain will mask the plants and it will cool and compact the ground, they will damage seedlings along with this it will wash out seedbeds.

In each month things like these are going to happen while not a single gardener will eliminate these effect in there garden. But to make it less effective one can try.

For this purpose you can take small steps such as location. While planning of the garden only you have to consider the place where to harvest the garden. Slopes, buildings, water bodies and the surrounding vegetation can alter the weather problems. For instance the crest of the hill is safer than the bottom of the hill.

Protection Factors

To avoid the bad weather effect we can use the protection factors as follows,

1 Walls and Fences: Once you planed the garden next step is to build the fences around the garden so as to protect it from the wind. As wind increases cold damage it is necessary to protect the garden.

2 Living Curtains: The another protecting factor is living curtains. In this one or more row of trees and shrubs are arranged to protect the wind. This will again helpful in erosion control, snowdrift protection, wild life habitat, bee forage etc.

3 Diverting Run-Off: It will helpful in giving internal protection to the garden. It will be helpful in rain washes in to the plot. By making the particular horse shoe shape dig around the garden will be helpful.

4 Terracing: This is the art of constructing the strips horizontally to the slope. This will protect heat within the soil. It will store the heat and will give the thermal protection. This could be achieving by plotting the wall.

5 Raised Beds: This will be useful in the incorporation of both tall and short plants. In long moulds of three-four feet will be warm quickly and drain better than the flat garden soil.

6 Mulch: A thick layer of mulch protects the ground from rain caused erosion.

7 Cover cropping: This will cover the ideal soil and increases organic components of soil.
