Kitchen Garden
To decide of a kitchen garden all you need a 200 square meter plot(in ideal Conditions) that can shape up to take care food supply for family of 6 members. It should be remember that A kitchen garden must need at least 4 hours of sunlight daily to grow vegetables like Tomatoes, cucumbers and other fruiting vegetables because these vegetables cannot grow without substantial sunlight, but if are cultivating root vegetables like carrots And leafy vegetables need more shade rather than sunlight.
Soil Preparation
After selecting plot for garden now it a time to prepare land which includes soil preparation at the very right time from example spring season is ideal for cultivation The Soil can be improved by adding some red soil. You can ask more about soil requirements from your any nursery near by or you can ask tom any gardening specialists.
Sowing
Now after preparing our land, now it is a time for sowing your seeds, depending on season you have and amount you want to invest, buy some good quality of seeds from the market and for leafy vegetables you can sprinkle the seeds and cover them with more soil.
Preventing from Disease
You can add some organic fertilizers or manures you improve absorption and which is necessary for growth of the plant, you can also add nutrients to the soils, and another important factor is to prevent your garden from unwanted disease for example you can grow basil and tomatoes close by(will helpful for nutrition). Basil attracts bugs that eat the pests which bother tomatoes.
Water
Another very important factor for plant growth is water. However, you cannot water the kitchen garden the way you water your flower pots because it will cause soil erosion. These plots need abundant supply of water. One must remember that your vegetable garden needs regular irrigation for 10 days after sowing. After that you can then bring it down to twice or thrice every week. The soil must never be totally dry, it needs constant moisture.
Harvesting
Now the time has came for harvesting now you can pluck the vegetables when they become ripe. You should pluck the ripe vegetables because they become rotted if you forget to pluck.
