Kitchen renovation requires more proper planning and implementing as compared to the other rooms of the house. If kitchen renovation is carried on properly, it adds up upto 10% of your re-sale value of your house. A successful renovation of the kitchen not only includes only painting attractively or using a wall paper design. You can make smaller alternations for adding a new life to your kitchen. If, in case, you are very ambitious then prepare a list of the elements that needs to be changed. Plan your budget on paper according to your needs and then you can make successful planning accordingly. Before starting your renovation work, you should have everything ready on your paper. For this you need accurate planning.

Measure the total area of the kitchen before you draw the final plan. Print this planning in a PDF format. This can be used for entering the data, calculating budgets and drawing the dream kitchen. It is cheap to make the changes on the paper than actually in the kitchen after renovating it. While planning for the kitchen renovation, do not consider the room size as an important factor. What needs to be considered is how you can use the available space in the kitchen efficiently. There should not be more spacing between the refrigerator, the sink and the cooking area.

The decoration of the kitchen should also be discussed during the planning stage because these materials can have an impact on the overall planning. Some appliances may require a ventilation outlet, some may need hooks for hanging on, electrical connections, or a rack to keep the microwave, etc can be done right now, if it is well planned.

Remember, that while renovation plan to reserve more space for storage. You can make a glass showcase for storing the crockery, dishes, glasses, cutlery, etc. the pots and pans needs to be stored nearby the cooking area; whereas the cooking equipments like utensils, spoons, dishes, cookwares, pressure cookers, etc near the area of food preparation.

A well planned kitchen allows easy movement of the cook and the family members. It provides enough room for the opening of the doors of the cabinets as well as the appliances.
