Plan Your Vegetable Garden

Having your own vegetable garden in your backyard is the best way stay healthier. Planting your own vegetable garden is great way to stay away from harmful chemicals and it also saves your money.

Planting a vegetable garden is not that difficult, just few steps and you can create healthy garden. First locate place where you can plant your vegetable garden, then prepare soil and after that you will plant seeds or siblings and then you just have take good care of your vegetables plants.

Normally vegetable plants need five to six hours full sunlight, so locate such place from your garden. Location of vegetable garden is very important role in success of vegetable garden. Next thing you need to do is wise planning of available space. You can do this planning on basis of how many vegetables you are going to plant and how much of each vegetable you need to harvest which will be indeed sufficient for whole family. So if you want plant 15 different vegetables you will require lot of space. You can plant your vegetable garden in containers. To start with you can plant four to five vegetables or you can plant small amount of many vegetables.

The next thing you have to do is preparing soil for vegetable garden. You have to do many things like turning soil, enriching it with organic manure like compost or any other organic matter. Avoid use of chemical fertilizer. Preparing good soil bed is very important since that will how healthier your vegetables going to be.

Now if you are going to follow traditional way of planting vegetable in rows then simply sprinkle seeds along the row and cover it with thin layer of soil. If you are plating starter plants or siblings then make small holes in top of row and then put plant in it and then pack soil around it tightly. You can plant your vegetable plants in many different types of soil beds like raised or square box and many more; select soil beds based on weather conditions. You can even randomly place vegetable seeds for more natural growth look.
