Remodeling shows can be such fun to watch. You can get so many great ideas from watching remodeling shows. Watching remodeling shows is and education in and of itself. I guess the grand daddy of all remodeling shows is Bob Vials show, This Old House. It started out as a PBS series and grew into a whole industry, spawning books, videos, seminars, products, spinoff TV shows and even a sitcom (Tim Allen's, Tool Time). I guess old Bob Vila made a pile of money off it all eventually, but who knew he was on the forefront of a revolution that would see the genre to remodeling shows rise to the heights it has?

These days, there are whole cable TV channels dedicated to remodeling shows. There are vast libraries of books and videos based on the remodeling shows. There are huge do it yourself superstores selling everything a remodeler could ever need and want and I don't think those stars would even exist today without the boost home remodeling was given by remodeling shows. And, of course these remodeling super stores sell all the products seen and used on the remodeling shows. Did bob Vila foresee all this? Was he an evil genius?

Remodeling shows really can give you not only the ideas for your own remodeling projects, but many of them actually teach you the skills you need to do the remodeling yourself. These remodeling shows give you the budget for the remodeling project. They list the materials and tools it will take to do the project. It is no wonder that these remodeling shows are so popular. they are extremely entertaining and very useful. Some of the remodeling shows show you how to do the project with limited funds. Some remodeling shows portray a person or family and follow the process of a remodel makeover that is a huge surprise for that person or family. Some remodeling shows incorporate not only home remodeling and redecorating, but personal makeovers as well. There is a remodeling show out there for anyone because they are so varied and have such huge appeal, whether they are narrow in focus or broad.
