Soil and Fertilizers

You can use soil in your container vegetable garden, but the synthetic mixes are much better to get best results. Peat-based mixes, containing peat and vermiculite, are excellent. They are well composed sterile and pH adjusted. They allow the plants to get enough air and water. Fertilizer at planting will keep your vegetables fed for the whole growing season.

Soil Factor

As we know that Soils are a mixture of different things like- rocks, minerals, and dead, decaying plants and animals. Soil can be very different from one place to another, but generally it consists of organic and inorganic materials like water and air. The inorganic materials are the rocks that have been broken down into smaller pieces. The size of these pieces varies. It can appear as pebbles, gravel, or as small as particles of sand or clay. The organic material is decaying living matter, this could be plants or animals that have died and decay until they become part of the soil. The amount of water in the soil is closely linked with the climate and other characteristics of the region. This water is called humidity of the soil. The amount of water in the soil is one thing that can affect the amount of air. Very wet soil probably has very little air. The composition of the soil affects the plants and animals that live there.

Fertilizer

Fertilizer are helpful to protect and fertilize your plants it will not only useful for growth of plants but also helpful to protect your plants from

Warms, germs and bacteria. There is one important factor is that to much access of fertilizer is harmful for plants because it will burn the leaves of plants.

Ph Value

In any plant where it's growing in a pH group that is too low, will show stunting symptoms and the growing tips of the plant are yellow and deformed whilst the lower parts of the plant remain unaffected. It should be remembered that at very low pH levels where aluminum and manganese are dissolved by acids and escape into the soil, these are poisonous to some plants. So too much increase of ph value is harmful for plants and too low will hindered its growth so ideal value of ph should be maintained and it is 6.5 ph values.

Other considerations

There are other considerations which are necessary to check fertility of soil

For example pH, nitrogen, potassium, and phosphorous which are necessary to get best fertility.
