Wedding Decor
We all want our own wedding to be memorable for all the right reasons. Choosing the perfect wedding decor is a large part of making sure our big day goes well, but it can be difficult to know where to start.
What should the tables look like? What material should you use? Should you go for elaborate wedding decor or keep things simple?
Take Small Steps
It's easy to get overwhelmed and try to do too much at once, so begin planning your wedding decor by making a list of all the things you need to do.
Jot down some ideas you like – maybe you've seen a nice fabric at a friend's wedding you would like to use at yours? Write it down. Maybe you have some pastel shades in mind for the table decorations? Make a note of those too.
Choose A Theme
Themed weddings are becoming very popular and having a theme can make choosing your wedding decor easier. If you're having an autumn wedding and you are going to have seasonal flowers on the tables, you could plan your tables in similar colours. Tablecloths, napkins and favors can all be in subtle shades of brown and red, complementing each other perfectly.
If you'd prefer a more fun theme, why not choose balloons? Apart from the helium filled variety you can use throughout your venue, you can also buy wedding favour bubbles to put on all the tables.
These are becoming a popular alternative to confetti, and add an instant and fun element to any wedding decor.
Summer Or Winter?
The time of year can also influence your choice of wedding decor. If you are likely to experience hot weather, why not include some pretty paper fans on each table, co-ordinated to match in with your choice of colours?
The wedding might be yours, but little touches like this will be appreciated and remembered by your guests for years to come.
Table Decor
When you're planning how your wedding venue will look, don't forget possibly the most important part of all – the table centrepiece. This can really draw the eye in if it's done properly.
You can keep it simple and use a glass bowl with decorative pebbles to put floating candles in, or go for a huge display of flowers. It all depends on your taste and budget.
Wedding decor can be as big and elaborate as your budget will allow. It's a very personal thing – but it's the perfect way to make sure your big day goes to plan.
